Yoga is even suggested to pregnant women and top-class athletes. Specifically with regards to obesity, yoga is considered good because the asana or postures are done slowly and yet go through a whole range of motion, gently stretching as well as contracting different muscles.

Yoga is also never strenuous and can be done as slowly as desired. In fact, in most asana or poses, the benefits are determined on the amount of time a person holds that asana. Further, studies conducted on children over a 12-week period showed an average loss of 2 kilograms or 4.5 pounds, and was also coupled with an increase in overall health and self-esteem.

There are not many yoga tips to reduce weight apart from practicing the poses correctly and doing them regularly. Yoga should always be performed on an empty stomach, and although the simple postures can be self-taught, it is always better to learn the more complex ones under the guidance of an instructor.

8 Ways to Burn Your Belly Fat Fast

The belly fat is very common these days and it is not unlikely to see that even slim people have a tummy that would like to get rid of. Everyone has some belly fat, even people who have flat abs. One of the biggest question that "how do I lose my belly fat? Some of your fat is right under your skin. Other fat is inside, around your heart, lungs, liver, and other organs.

Burn Your Belly Fat Fast

1. Drink lot of Water
Start the day out with a glass of warm water and the juice of half a lemon. Drink lots of water throughout the day and with all meals. Lemons help in fighting hunger cravings. Also, people who maintain a more alkaline diet lose weight faster.

2. Green Tea
Drink lots of green Tea and eliminate all juice, diet and regular soft drinks. Green Tea increases Fat Burning and improves physical performance.

3. Say NO to Sugar.
Never eat Sugar, this also means nothing white (no bread, white pasta, potatoes). The modern diet, full of sugar, refined carbohydrates, cause us to gain weight. One of the biggest culprits for weight gain is sugar. Eating sugar causes an increase in the hormone insulin. Insulin stops your body from using fat as fuel, and causes your body to convert sugar into fat. Eating sugar causes you to get fatter. If you keep eating a high sugar diet, you can’t burn off your fat stores – your body is burning sugar rather than fat.

4. Eat Right
Eating a combination of soluble and insoluble fibre is an effective way to stay fit. Foods like oranges, mushrooms, raspberries, broccoli and cabbage are rich in fibre. Eat all the vegetables and salad. Instead of 3 meals, eat 5 small meals in a day (including snacks). Don’t eat anything after 7pm. You should completely stop eating chips, popcorn, cake, cookies, burgers, fries, pizzas, cold drinks. Eat some salad before your every meal.
Even if you kept everything else the same but switched to a higher-fiber diet, you might be able to better maintain your weight over time.

5.Sleep
Getting right amount of sleep helps. When you’re tired you produce more ghrelin, which triggers cravings for sugar and other fat-building foods. However, sleep is so important to weight management and optimal health that you can’t afford to skimp on it. In one study, people who got 6 to 7 hours of sleep per night gained less visceral fat over 5 years compared to those who slept 5 or fewer hours per night or 8 or more hours per night. Getting more sleep is an easy way to keep your body trim and healthy.

6. Exercise
To achieve a truly flat stomach, work in some cardiovascular exercise between sit-ups, crunches, planks and other abdominal exercises.
Walking counts, as long as it's brisk enough that you work up a sweat and breathe harder, with your heart rate faster than usual.  To get the same results in half the time, step up your pace and get vigorous exercise -- like jogging or walking. You'd need to do that for 20 minutes a day, 4 days a week.
Try planking, where you hold yourself in a push-up position, resting your forearms on the ground. Try 3 or 4 sets of holding for 30 seconds each. Also, try jumping rope, running on a treadmill or even do jumping jacks for 30 seconds to one minute between each set. You will shred fat while building a solid core.

7. Healthy fats
Yes, you heard right! Although you should still moderate your intake, healthy fats like avocados, walnuts and olive oil can improve satiety. These foods will also rev up your metabolism thanks to high doses of omega-3.

8. Stress
Everyone has stress. Whether we're stressed because of constant, crazy demands at work or we're really in danger, our bodies respond like we're about to be harmed and need to fight for our lives. To answer this need, we experience a burst of energy, shifts in metabolism and blood flow, and other changes. If you remain in this state for a prolonged amount of time due to stress, your health becomes at risk. Stressing and anxiety can cause the over-production of a certain hormone called cortisol, which encourages weight gain about the belly area. And it reduces your ability to burn fat.

The best things you can do include relaxing with friends and family, meditating, exercising to blow off steam, and getting counseling. That leaves you healthier and better prepared to make good choices for yourself.
